MORGANITE SPECIMEN
This is the raw translucent bright pink morganite specimen. Dimensions: 1.4 x 0.9 x 0.7″ (3.5 x 2.3 x 1.9cm). Weight – 0.8oz (24 grams). Origin: Russia, Transbaikalia.
Some information about beryl:
Beryl a mineral composed of beryllium aluminium silicate. Well-known varieties of beryl include emerald and aquamarine. Naturally occurring, hexagonal crystals of beryl can be up to several meters in size, but terminated crystals are relatively rare. Pure beryl is colorless, but it frequently tinted by impurities. Possible colors are green, blue, yellow, pink, and red (the rarest). It is an ore source of beryllium.
The name derived from Greek beryllos which referred to a «precious blue-green color-of-sea-water stone».
