This is the raw lilac lepidolite specimen with pink tourmaline crystals and zeolite. Dimensions: 3.3 x 2.6 x 2.0″ (8.5 x 6.5 x 5cm). Weight – 5.3oz (150 grams). Origin: Russia, Transbaikalia.
Some information about lepidolite:
Lepidolite is a lilac-gray or rose-colored member of the mica group. It is a secondary source of lithium. It is a phyllosilicate mineral and a member of the polylithionite-trilithionite series.
It occurs in granite pegmatites, in some high-temperature quartz veins, greisens and granites. Associated minerals include quartz, feldspar, spodumene, amblygonite, tourmaline, columbite, cassiterite, topaz and beryl.
Lepidolite is a stone of calm, trust and acceptance. It is extremely useful in the reduction of depression as well as stress. It is used to halt obsessive thoughts, and relieves despondency, as well as overcomes insomnia.
