This is the raw grayish-white eudidymite specimen with fluorite. Dimensions: 1.5 x 1.1 x 1.0″ (3.9 x 2.9 x 2.6cm). Weight – 1.3oz (36 grams). Origin: Russia, Siberia.

Eudidymite is a mineral, tape silicate from the amphibole group. The name is derived from two Greek words – “eu” and “didymis”, meaning “well twinned”, due to the frequent occurrence of twinned crystals of eudidymites.
Eudidymite is a transparent or translucent mineral with a variety of colors. Has a hardness on the Mohs scale – 6. It occurs in the form of tabular crystals of monoclinic system with frequent appearance of twins. Eudidymite opened in 1887 in Norway.
