This is the polished yellowish tinaksite specimen with charoite. Dimensions: 3.3 x 1.7 x 1.0″ (8.4 x 4.2 x 2.5cm). Weight – 6.1oz (173 grams). Origin: Russia, Siberia.
Some information about tinaksite:
Tinaksite is a mineral found in northern Russia. Tinaksite can be grayish-white, yellowish, orange, or brown, and it is often found in charoite. Its name is derived from its composition: titanium (Ti), sodium (Na) potassium (K) and silicon (Si). International Mineralogical Association first recognized tinaksite as a mineral in 1965.
